The Smart Gasket

The new intelligent gasket is a round gasket braided from glass fibre with a red glass fibre cord at its core. Over time, the function of gaskets is impaired by mechanical influences and allows false air to enter. Until now, it was a challenge to detect a defective gasket before it was severely damaged and had already caused a poor burn-off over a prolonged period of time.

This is changing thanks to the innovative design of the intelligent gasket. As wear occurs, the internal red signal colour becomes clearly visible, indicating the need for replacement at the next inspection. This first wear-indicating gasket makes a lasting contribution to ensuring that single-room fireplaces are used in optimum condition. Only with an intact gasket can false air intake be prevented, an even and controlled burning of the heating material be achieved, as well as fine dust emissions be reduced. This is the future of a sustainable single-room fireplace.
